FAQ - Online Classes

In group online English courses, students log in to a virtual classroom via the Zoom platform at scheduled times and engage with the instructor and other classmates live. Upon registration,  Class IDs and eTextbooks will be sent to your email for you to join classes via Zoom. Lessons follow various language topics, including grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation, and conversation practice, tailored to the proficiency level of the group.

Group online English courses cater to learners of low intermediate to advanced proficiency levels. We are aiming to provide an offering for all levels, including beginners very soon! However we have found students are more comfortable navigating online courses at a high beginner / low intermediate level. Students undergo English placement assessment  to ensure they are placed in the appropriate class level that aligns with their current language skills and goals.

While online learning offers unique advantages, such as flexibility and accessibility, group online English courses can be just as effective as traditional in-person classes. Through interactive, live lessons with fellow classmates, personalized feedback, offline homework, students can make significant progress in their language proficiency and communication skills.

Group online English courses provide several benefits, including:

  • Opportunities for interactive learning and practicing speaking skills with peers.
  • Access to diverse perspectives and cultural insights from classmates around the world.
  • Cost-effectiveness compared to private tutoring or traveling to the USA, while still receiving personalized instruction from experienced teachers.
  • Flexible scheduling options to accommodate different time zones and busy lifestyles.
     

To enroll in a group online English course, simply head over to (Online Course Registration). 

Select the course that best fits your schedule and language learning needs, then follow the registration process to secure your spot. You will receive an email 24 hours-48 hours (if over the weekend), with your Class IDs and eTextbooks to join classes via Zoom.

Yes! Students are able to enroll year around, any time. 

All courses have a 3 month course duration. Joining after the first month means you will be entering a course that has already started. Students are welcomed to join any Monday and instructors are familiar with adapting the course to new enrollees. Students can complete payment monthly or quarterly. 

If you find a class is not a good fit – not to worry! 

You have options. Students can easily make a request to move their prorated credit towards a different course. If notice of cancellation is made prior to your first day of attendance, we will refund 100% of the amount paid less any transaction fees or textbook fees. Students who are eligible for a refund will receive a prorated refund less any transaction or textbook fees. Students who complete more than 60% of the enrolled class are not eligible for a refund. All requests must be made in writing.
